He was also a passionate advocate for youth sports and physical play,\u201d said Steve Dubnik, president and CEO of The Strong. \u201cNaming the museum\u2019s ropes course in his honor is a fitting tribute to his legacy\u2014and for us, a meaningful way to thank Ralph and Mary Wilson for their many years of support and advocacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>In 2021, The Strong announced a transformational $5 million gift and significant annual support from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to help fund the museum\u2019s recent 90,000 square foot expansion and ongoing operations. The ropes course is a key element of the expansion and central to the museum\u2019s play mission, bringing physical play to the forefront\u2014 and encouraging kids and people of all ages to test their strength, balance, courage, and grit.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRalph spent his entire life being active, enjoying sports and always had a playful and adventurous spirit. He would love to see these youth push their comfort level and build their strength and confidence through the Ralph Wilson Skyline Climb,\u201d said Mary Wilson, life trustee, Ralph C.
